On the Road again..

The boys are now back on the road in the States, kicking off another mammoth string of dates with a few support gigs for George Thorogood (of 'Bad To The Bone' fame). They then set off across America, on a headline and festival route, taking in over 20 different States in 2 months.

If you think you have a few spare minutes to help us promote the tour, email Christy (christyATbackdoorslam.com) and she'll send you a flyer for your area; you can email it to friends, post it on blogs, or print it off and hang it up in your local coffee shops/record stores etc.

The boys will also be hitting the CBS Early Show studios on Saturday, March 8th, to play a couple of songs live on air - don't forget to tune in and show your support!

Click here to see if they'll be in your area, and check out the new tour dates through the Summer...

Slam get the Bonamassa thumbs up!

Thanks in part to slammers like Paul, Cathy and JDawg, (who are part of the Joe B street team), the man himself has show amazing support of the band...he recently posted on his forum that he's going to feature three BDS songs on an upcoming Sirius radio special.

As JDawg comments on the forum, we really are "stoked" by this! We don't have a date yet for the broadcast, but will keep you posted when we know more.

In the meantime, please check out Joe's BBC Radio 2 session on Paul Jones' Blues show that aired Monday night (Feb 11th) - it was fantastic and well worth taking an hour out to listen to.

SLAM TO RETURN TO SOUTH BY SOUTHWEST

A lot has happened since last year's blistering gig at BD Rileys in Austin - the Slam's first ever performance in America. But it will remain one of those magic moments in the band's history - and gave us one of our favourite press quotes ("I heard the spirit of Jimi Hendrix..." - y'know, THAT one?!) So we're really excited to be going back again!
We can confirm that our gig will be the BLUES ROCK SHOWCASE on Thursday 13th of March, at OPAL DEVINE'S FREEHOUSE (700W 6th St). We don't have a showtime yet, but will keep you posted.

SXSW is one of the most exciting festivals in America, always showcasing new talent from the music, film and interactive worlds. Tickets are for either the whole week, or for the few days of each industry (so if you're just interested in the Music side of things, you get a wristband for those dates that lets you into all the relevant venues).Check out the website for more info.
