SLAM TOUR DIARY - CBS, SXSW and beyond 28th March 08
This past week and a half has been as hectic and as exhausting as any we've had since we've been on tour.

After playing at SXSW we headed up to Tennessee to play in Nashville, and Atlanta Georgia. The '3rd and Lindsley' show in Nashville was great and even though it wasn't full we had a great response from the crowd. Two days later we played in Atlanta where we were going to have our show filmed by MAV TV which was a different experience for us all. That show was a sell out again and we are really looking forward to getting back to Atlanta.

On the 21st we played in Charleston at The Music Farm which is a great venue and we had a good crowd for our first visit there. We also played an instore performance at the Monster Music Record Store that day, and had a radio performance on WCOO Radio. The shows were great fun and we hope to be back in Charleston soon.

We then had a few days of driving for our gig in Burlington, Vermont on the 24th which we were really looking forward to. Our last show at the Higher Ground was fantastic and this time we had been promoted to the big room which held close to seven hundred people. It was great to know that we had sold out such a big venue and we are really looking forward to playing the Higher Ground again.

On the 25th we headed to Philadelphia to play at the World Cafe Live. It was the third time we had played there. the first was for a live radio performance at noon, the second was at the upstairs venue and this performance was our own show in the main show room. The crowd were fantastic and we had another great night in Philadelphia, a town which we all love.

From Philadelphia we traveled back up North to play in Baltimore at the 8X10 which is a great venue. The place is not too big, around two hundred and fifty people but the layout is great, with a balcony going around the stage on the second floor giving you a great view of the band.

Earlier that day we had to great opportunity to play five songs in an amazing studio at the XM satellite radio station. We didn't know too about XM satellite radio and Bill Wax from the Bluesville channel was kind enough to give us a tour around.

We are now on our way to New York to play the Mercury Lounge and hopefully get a much needed rest tomorrow.
